OSCOM Kupu - New XHTML Editor

OSCOM, the international association for Open Source Content Management has recently adopted the Kupu XHTML editor project.
The Kupu editor provides similar capabilities as the GPLd and mature HTMLAREA project. However, it also brings some interesting new features to the table:
- OSCOM branding of the project
- Valid XHTML output
- Cool link and image pop-up system
The link and image pop-up system is especially interesting, as it utilizes a CMS independent XML format for finding available images and documents from the content management system, and then presents them in a nice, Mac-like pop-up dialog. This feature can be seen best in the Plone integration demo.
Kupu is under a BSD-style license. The editor could be integrated into MidCOM as an optional "widget_kupu" editor.
