Newsticker has experimental MetaWeblog API support

HELSINKI Feb 29th 2004 -- The MidCOM news listing component, de.linkm.newsticker now has an experimental patch for MetaWeblog API support. The patch enables posting news items using different desktop blogging clients.
MetaWeblog API is a standard for posting stories from a desktop blogging tool to the web service. MetaWeblog API is supported by many different blogging tools including NetNewsWire and Archipelago.
The current version of the patch already enables the blogging tools to post and edit entries in the news listing, but still raises some warning messages in the clients.
