MidCOM 2.0 released

The Midgard Project has released the final stable version of the Midgard Components Framework 2.0, now based on the filesystem, not on the Database. Significant performance improvements come out of this.
This next generation of MidCOM features these changes:
- Code is no longer served from the Midgard Database, leading to a huge performance increase.
- The AIS layout has been optimized for usability.
- A centralized toolbar mechanismn now makes creation of UI toolbars both in AIS and on-site very easy, also unifying their look & feel.
- Several minor improvements for performance and stability have been made.
This release does not focus on new features, but on the transition into the Filesystem. mRFC 6 outlines the detailed reasons for this move.
You can download MidCOM 2.0 here, the tarball includes installation notes and a detailed Changelog. Please report any bugs to Tigris.
