Aegir project moves to Tigris.org

Mar 5th 2004 -- Developer services of the Aegir Content Management Interface project are now moving to the Tigris.org community. Tigris is a mid-sized Open Source community focused on software development tools.

Lodz, March 10th 2004 -- The Midgard Project has released alpha version of the latest 1.6 Midgard Open Source Content Management Framework. Major changes included in this release: - Apache module has caching support which increase performance a lot - Multilang features are now default - Datagard , the new midgard installer and tool for managing midgard database and applications.

MySQL licensing is OK again

HELSINKI, Mar 14th 2004 -- Makers of the MySQL database used by Midgard, MySQL AB have now made an addition to the licensing of version 4.x of their database connection libraries. This again allows MySQL usage by Open Source software under licenses other than GNU GPL.

GUENZBURG, HELSINKI, 2004-03-19 -- The Midgard Project has released version 1.2.0 of the Midgard Components Framework (MidCOM). MidCOM provides a framework for creating reusable and configurable components for web applications using the Midgard Content Management Framework.

MINSK, Mar 22nd 2004 -- Alexander Bokovoy has checked in the first version of PAM support for Midgard. PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) enables Midgard to authenticate users using external sources like LDAP, Windows networks or the Linux passwd file.

HELSINKI, Mar 25th 2004 -- The fifth anniversary of The Midgard Project is on May 8th. To celebrate it, and finalize the 1.6.0 release, there will be a Midgard developer meeting in Poznan, Poland on that date.

mRFCs: Standardizing Midgard Specification Process

HELSINKI, Mar 26th 2004 -- The process of specifying new features or additions to the Midgard CMS system has now been standardized into the Midgard Request For Comments (mRFC) model.
