Launching GNOME Artwork Requests
Posted on 2008-04-02 12:32:37 GMT.
One thing that came up during the Art Meeting last week was that while the art team get lots of request for artwork, it’s really hard to keep track of them. Some are requested in Bugzilla, some on mailing-lists and some are individual requests to artists on IRC, via e-mail or on a conference. Things get forgotten and developers end up wondering if we didn’t want to do it, are too busy or simply forgot about it (often it’s a combination of option 2 and 3).
At the same time, new artists that are interested in helping out with GNOME artwork have a hard time figuring out where to start.
To fix this, we have set up a page in the GNOME wiki called Art Requests, heavily inspired by both Fedora Design Service and Tango Fridays.
Developers: Please add any artwork requests if you have something you need help with.
Artists: Pick a issue you want to work on and add your name to it.
