Usage Figures

As an Open Source project Midgard does not have accurate usage statistics available. However, some figures can be used.

Midgard is part of the SecuritySpace Apache Module survey. In October 2004 SecuritySpace found 4239 public Midgard servers on the web.

Note: As of 2005 the SecuritySpace report is no longer free, so the figures on this page will not be maintained any more.

The SecuritySpace survey finds only a portion of web servers world wide. In October 2003 SecuritySpace found 4,311,776 public PHP servers, while Netcraft found 14,528,748.

In addition experiences have proved Midgard to be more popular in Intranet than public website use. Intranets running Midgard are not visible in these surveys.
