The Swedish II-Stiftelsen foundation (IIS) has approved to fund Anykey solutions to support MidCOM/Midgard development.

Midgard is a capable open source content management system for running mid-to-high-end websites. In addition to the built-in content management features, Midgard also provides a highly object-oriented component architecture for building interactive web applications that integrate seamlessly with the website.

The Swedish foundation II-Stiftelsen (IIS), the "Internet infrastructure foundation", has the administration of the toplevel domain .se as one of its main tasks.

"The purpose of the foundation is to promote a good stability in the Internet infrastructure in Sweden and promote research, education and teaching in data and telecommunication, especially with focus on Internet."

IIS runs a fund that hands out money every year to applicants. To help and fund development that improves Internet and Internet development in Sweden.

Anykey solutions will use the funds to aid the development of midcom.admin.help (Online help viewer) and adapt other modules to make use of the help library.

The library will display contextual help messages inside the Midgard the user interface using materials shipped with the applications to aid site builders and users when constructing a website.

Some work will also be done on the Midgard Site Creation Wizard to install and make it easier for people to create new websites.
