Installing Midgard from Distribution Packages

Supported distributions and operating systems:

• CentOS
• Debian GNU/Linux
• Fedora
• openSUSE
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• SLES/SLED
• Ubuntu
• Mac OS X (macports)

Check new packages at openSUSE Build Service. If your distribution is missing, you will have to follow the source installation instructions.

Our goal is to provide packages for all major distributions. Package maintainers for new distributions are always more than welcome. You don't have to be a specialist. We build packages using openSUSE Build Service, so no dedicated machines are required. What is needed is your will and basic packaging skills (not always even that because sometimes we just need to have a test user for a particular platform). Contact the developers if you want to join our distribution/binary package team.
