Groups and People
Groups & People enables the management of users who can log into the system, along with the ablility to group people together to control access to various resources, like websites, styles, News and Articles etc.
Functions
This consists of 2 primary components Groups
- Create a new group (System Administrators and Sitegroup Administrators only)
- Ability to make different modules accessable to different groups
- Ability to modify membership of group
- Ability to delete groups
People
- Create User accounts (System Administrators and Sitegroup Administrators only)
- Ability to modify Users information, and group membership
- Ability to change the interface for users - power user (simplified or complex menus)
- Ability to change passwords
It is possible to create People who do not have login access to the system (eg. without passwords, however this has been disabled from the interface).
The ownership among groups, as explained in the System Administration section, is illustrated in the tree under the Groups & People tab.
